Built in Kathmandu, for hostels across Nepal
HostelSathi is hostel management software for the people who actually run hostels — owners, wardens and office staff who were doing all of this in registers, spreadsheets and a group chat.

Why we built it
Most hostels in Nepal are run on paper. A register for admissions, a second one for fees, a diary for complaints, and a group chat holding everything the books miss. It works until it does not: two students allocated the same bed on admission day, a payment nobody can find a receipt for, a month-end that takes two days to assemble.
Most existing software came from somewhere else — priced in dollars, built around short hotel bookings rather than long-stay residents, and unaware that a Nepali hostel bills monthly in rupees and answers to parents as much as to students. We built HostelSathi for that operation specifically.
What it does
One system covering the whole operation: buildings, floors, rooms and beds down to the individual bed; admissions and student records; a fee ledger with part-payments, fines and numbered receipts; attendance; leave requests; complaints tracked through to resolution; staff with per-hostel permissions; and reports that export to CSV and PDF.
Students get their own portal, so dues, receipts, leave requests and complaints stop going through the office window.
How we think about your data
Every hostel on HostelSathi is a separate tenant, and that separation is enforced in four independent layers rather than by convention — including database constraints that hold even if the application layer were bypassed entirely. Cross-tenant access is covered by a dedicated automated test suite.
Your records stay yours. Export everything at any time; the privacy policy sets out what we hold and why.
